BMW Assist puts you in control of your travel plans. Up-to-date traffic information, congestion reports and alternative route suggestions can be called up at the press of a button, plus information about hotels, restaurants and other useful addresses. These can be entered directly in the navigation system. Its automatic emergency call feature and breakdown assistance request, including vehicle location data, enhances your safety.
Get to your destination quicker with the Professional DVD navigation system. The 16:9 monitor folds out of the centre console and is ergonomically positioned in the driver and front passenger's field of vision. When using the navigation system, traffic delays can be recognised quickly via TMC so that an alternative route can be calculated. Visual and voice instructions then direct you to your destination without the need for any detours.
Whether you are in the city or out in the country, the universal hands-free system with Bluetooth interface, integrated Voice Control and an external antenna guarantees optimum reception. Easy-to-install snap-in adapters are available for the hands-free system which can be used with mobile phones from the following manufacturers: Siemens, Nokia, Motorola und Sony Ericsson.
The optional Bluetooth interface provides a wireless connection between the vehicle and Bluetooth-compatible mobile phones. The phones are operated via the hands-free kit, multifunction steering wheel or via Voice Control, depending on the specifications of the individual vehicle. Your local BMW dealer will be happy to inform you about which mobile phone devices (and software versions) are compatible with the optional Bluetooth interface.
Road networks are constantly changing: digital road maps for BMW navigation systems keep you informed of these changes and are available on CD or DVD twice a year. The integrated Falk travel guide* also provides you with a range of additional useful information, such as local sights and restaurants.
